What is the mission of Artful Vision?
Artful Vision’s mission is to partner artists and non-profits in creative fundraising with art and fine craft made in the United States.
Where are the items on Artful Vision made?
People generally agree that “buying American” is a good idea so, an integral part of our vision is that products, are always made in the U.S.A. In order to raise money for worthy causes here at home, lets sell products made here at home, not in China or other far-off countries.
Who is eligible to display art on Artful Vision?
If you make or design your work, live in the United States and are over 18 years of age you are eligible to apply to display your work for sale on Artful Vision.
Why is Artful Vision a juried website?
A juried site benefits the artist because it provides a balance of well crafted items in each category; complementary vs. similar items.
Is there a commission on the sale of my art?
Yes, 20% of each sale is donated to the customer’s choice of non-profit. An 8% commission covers the administration fee of Artful Vision. The total commission is 28%. Custom orders generated through Artful Vision will be considered general sales and subject to commissions; however, through your exposure on Artful Vision you will be able to connect with licensing and wholesale opportunities that are free of any commissions.
Are there any start up costs to list my art on Artful Vision?
On Artful Vision there are no listing fees, no application fees, and no contracts to sign for showing up to 100 items of your art. No Upfront Costs = No Risk.
How does selling on Artful Vision work?
Artful Vision showcases the work of artists from across the United States, offering a variety of unique and quality products for every budget. Non-profits promote Artful Vision to their members through email, newsletters, flyers and other media. Customers can shop by category, artist or price. Artful Vision accepts payments from customers on behalf of the artist. Artists receive email notification of sales in order to fulfill and ship orders directly to the customer. Artful Vision will electronically forward money and statements to artists twice a month, and to non-profits once a month.
Is there a limit to the amount of artwork I can list for sale?
100 items.
Who sets the price for artwork?
Each artist is responsible for setting the price of their art.
How are you currently marketing your work - Art Fairs, galleries or online -- or maybe all three?
The expense of an art fair can be 50% or more of sales, and galleries take 40-60% commission. In both cases, you are limited to the number of people who will actually see your work.
If you build an ecommerce site of your own, it's time consuming and expensive; or you can join a large-scale online gallery and your work will be lost among thousands of other sellers competing for the same customers.
If I exhibit on Artful Vision, can I exhibit my work on other sites?
Yes. Our only request is that your prices are the same wherever your work is displayed. If you have a personal website or show at art fairs it is your responsibility to keep track of what is available and what is sold. You can add or remove items at any time.
Do I need to sign a contract to be on Artful Vision?
No. Once accepted to our site you remain active as long as you are creating art for sale. We require that you accept the terms and conditions of Artful Vision, which are binding as long as you are a member. You may withdraw, without penalty, from the site at any time.
