Danny Braddix, Jr. grew up living in France, Germany and Boston. After graduating from college, he spent two years working in a big city high-rise before packing up his blue van and heading west to find something he really wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Danny spent almost 10 years working in the Carmel Highlands Fire Department in California while teaching himself to paint. A dare, a promise and a woman brought him to Hawaii. On Maui, he spent 18 years hiking into the tropical rain forests, with a backpack full of paints, brushes and his easel, to paint the fantastic flowers and foliage in situ.
In 2005, Danny moved to the wild woods of Puna, on the island of live volcanoes and orchids, and is currently deep in another adventure of discovering and painting unique beauty in his own unique way.
Today Danny is back on the island of Maui painting in the 'Iao Valley.
