I worked in the criminal justice and law enforcement field for over 13 years. I retired in 1996 and moved to South Lake Tahoe.
After retiring and raising 10 children (his, hers, ours, and theirs). I had time to pursue my love of the arts. I joined art leagues and participated in indoor/outdoor shows, along with showing my most recent work in local galleries. I love the fiber arts the most - quilts, silk painting and now pine needle baskets/sculpture. The pine needle art is something that I do and share with my husband, who is a stone sculptor. We spend many days in the forest gathering nature's offerings for both of our art venues. Our most recent work is collaborative: my pine needle art and his soap stone carvings.
