How is Artful Vision different than other sites that sell art and fine craft?

Artful Vision is a creative solution to traditional fundraising. Artists who show their work have made a commitment to donate 20% of all sales to a worthy cause. The customer chooses a worthy cause from a list of non-profit partners registered on Artful Vision. Buy something you want or need as a gift and support a worthy cause at the same time.

What type of artwork does Artful Vision sell?

Artful Vision sells art and fine craft that is made or designed by artists in the United States. We include -- but are not limited to -- visual, decorative and functional art, as well as music and creative writing. By operating as a juried online art fair, customers and artists benefit because we provide a balance of well crafted items in each category.

What is the easiest way to shop on Artful Vision?

Our ‘Shop By’ menu is on the left side of the home page. From this area you can shop by artist, category, new items or specials. If you want to narrow it down even further you can use the advanced search bar to type in the item you are looking for.

How do I know when new artwork is added to Artful Vision?

Frequently check in with Artful Vision and click “What's New” under Shop By. All products listed within the last 30 days will be listed here.

How does my non-profit get paid when I make a purchase?

In the shopping cart you choose the non-profit you wish to partner with. Once a month each non-profit receives an electronic payment and statement of transactions.

Can I order custom items from an artist?

First check the artist's home page for information on whether they create custom items. If you do not find the information you are looking for, contact the artist through an email through the contact link at
the top right corner of the artist's profile page. Click the link, and fill in the form; your email will be sent directly to the artist.


Can I contact an artist directly?

Yes. If there is an artist you wish to contact individually go to their profile page. In the top right corner of the page most artists will have a contact link. Click the link and fill in the form; your email will be sent directly to the artist.


How can I keep track of my favorite items and artists?

To save your favorites you need to first “Create an Account” on Artful Vision. Then you will be able to add work by artists into a Wishlist that is saved until you purchase or remove the items from your Wishlist. As a reminder, there are limited quantities of items; therefore, items in your Wishlist are not guaranteed to be available for purchase at a later date.

Can I have items shipped to a different address?

At this time the only way to ship items to a different address is for each complete order to be shipped to a different address.

Does Artful Vision offer gift wrap?

Artists that offer gift wrap will have information available on the product information page, as a choice when making a purchase.


Does Artful Vision sell gift certificates?

Yes, you may purchase Gift Certificates in any amount $10.00 or more. Gift Certificates are sent via email or USPS.

Account Info
Is my personal information secure?

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not rent, trade or share email addresses with anyone without your consent. Your personal information is made available to artists you have purchased from in order for your order to be fulfilled.

Non-Profits are provided with a list of donors and the amount of donation to the non-profits on a monthly basis. The non-profit does not receive any information on items purchased, your address or your email.

Do I have to create an account to browse Artful Vision’s website?

No. Visitors are free to browse Artful Vision at any time.

What information is required to create an account?

Your name, address, email address, a username and password are needed to create an account to save items to your Wishlist, make a purchase or download free screensavers.

Where can I change my email, password, address etc?

The next time you make a purchase, “LogIn” to your account. When you reach the shipping and payment page you will be able to modify your account information. 

What should I do if I forget all my information?

When you login on the computer where you created your account from, Artful Vision will remember your username name. If you forgot your password, click “LogIn”, then click "forgot password".

What are the benefits of creating an account on Artful Vision?

If you choose to create an account on Artful Vision you will be able to save your favorite items into a Wishlist when you are searching the site. It is a nice option to not have to search through a whole category for an artist whose work you admired. Also, if you are interested in receiving Free Screensavers you need to have an account.

What are Free Screensavers?

The founder of Artful Vision created Screensavers from her photographs as a gift to anyone who enjoys the images. Images are in a variety of categories and each category has numerous images that rotate on your computer screen.

If I register for an account on Artful Vision will I receive a lot of emails?

No, you receive an automatic email whenever you make a purchase; at which point the artist will contact you to thank you for your order and inform you of when your order will be shipped.

Can I unsubscribe from the “Specials” email?

Yes, click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email.

Can I have more than one account?

Yes, choose a different Log In name for each account.

Purchasing Questions
How do I get more information on an item posted on Artful Vision?

To contact an individual artist,
go to their profile page. In the top right corner of the page most artists will have a contact link. Click the link and fill in the form; your email will be sent directly to the artist.

Artful Vision’s customer service does not have any additional information about the items listed on our site other than what the artist has provided.

Does the image accurately represent what I will be sent?

Each artist strives to present images that accurately represent the colors of their work. Minor modifications occur with computer screen calibrations. Please feel free to contact any artist if you need further clarification. If you are not satisfied with a product you receive, you may return it within five (5) business days for a refund.

How do I place an order?

Place items in your shopping bag. When you finish shopping review your items to see if there is anything you wish to remove from your bag. Purchases from different artists are on separate invoices. Once your transaction is complete, each artist receives notification of their items purchased. Each artist will contact you regarding delivery.

What happens when I place an order?
 
1. Artful Vision collects payment and notifies each artist of the order.
2. Artists communicate with customers regarding delivery.
3. Upon receipt of order the customer has 5 days to notify the artist of damage or to request a return.
4. The selected Non-profits are paid monthly.

What if I have a question about my order? 

If you received a confirmation email from an artist than please contact the artist directly, otherwise contact each individual artist through their profile page contact link.

How does checkout work?

The shopping bag allows you to gather items from different artists all in one place. Prior to final checkout, delete any item you no longer wish to purchase.

4) Review shipping costs, check if order is a gift, and select payment method.

Can I ship to multiple shipping addresses?


The software Artful Vision uses only allows one address per order.

When you want to ship items to different addresses, our suggestion is to place all of the items in your Wishlist file. Our system only allows for shipping to one address per order. For each address, transfer items from your Wishlist file to your shopping bag. When you have completed your purchase, you can repeat this process as often as you like.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

How will I know when my purchase has been shipped to me?

Each artist will email customers to inform them when items are being shipped.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Orders are typically shipped within 3 days. Once shipped allow 3 - 5 days business days for transit. Artists will inform customers when and how items are shipped.

How will I know if my item is on back order?

You will be contacted by the artist if your item will not be shipped within 3 days.

Does Artful Vision have a preferred shipper?

No. Each artist chooses their preferred method of shipping their products.


Can I return merchandise?

Yes. Please contact the artist within five (5) days to inform of a return for a full refund, minus the original shipping costs. Return items in the original packing materials to the artist, not Artful Vision. Customers are responsible for shipping and insurance costs of returned goods. If you choose to return an item without insurance there can be no refund if the item arrives damaged.

If more than 5 days have elapsed after you have received an item it is no longer eligible for a refund.

There are no refunds on custom items.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

If your purchase arrives damaged contact the artist within 24 hours to arrange to return your order. Please save original packaging material.

What if I have a problem with my transaction?

If your problem is in the purchasing process, please call or email Artful Vision.

Start by communicating directly with the artist. If there is no resolution please contact Artful Vision customer service with details.

How are shipping costs calculated?

Each artist calculates the shipping costs for their work based on the packing materials required for the size and weight of the purchase.

Will I be charged Sales Tax?

If the artist and the purchaser reside in the same state, tax will be calculated onto the final amount owing.

Why am I being charged Sales Tax on shipping charges?

Artful Vision is responsible for collecting sales tax on shipping charges for any state that mandates the collection. Artful Vision does not handle the calculation of sales or shipping taxes. They are handled by a third party that follows the laws for every state.

If you have any questions on whether your state mandates collection of sales tax on shipping charges, google the topic for an answer.

Where is my order being shipped from?
 
Items are shipped from the state in which the artists resides. Information about each artists location can be located on the artist’s home page. If the artist does not list their location please feel free to contact them through the contact link on their Profile page.

Do you ship internationally?

No. At this time Artful Vision work with U.S. based artists, non-profits and customers.

Are custom orders or large quantities available?
 
Please contact individual artists for their policy. Each artists has a contact link in the top right corner of their profile page.

Can I get a tax donation receipt for the donation portion of the sale?

No. You are receiving the full value of the purchase. The 20% donation to your organization is being made by the artist.

If I encounter a problem while submitting my order, should I resubmit?


No. Please contact
customer service first with the details of the problem.

Can I cancel an order after it has been submitted?

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been shipped, contact customer service with the Order ID number. If the artist has contacted you but has not shipped the item, please also contact the artist.

What method of payment does Artful Vision accept?

Artful Vision accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards, as well as Artful Vision Gift Certificates for all your transactions.

How do I choose a non-profit to receive 20% of my purchase?

When you are ready to check out you will be able to choose a non-profit from a drop down menu. Each artist has agreed to donate 20% of each sale to the customers choice of non-profit.

How can I help an organization participate in a fundraiser with Artful Vision?

Does my organization qualify?

Most non-profits, PTO/PTA’s, religious institutions and social service institutions qualify. We also co-ordinate partnerships between for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations.

Does an organization have to be a non-profit to set up a fundraiser with Artful Vision?

No. Artful Vision will work with for-profit organizations interested in promoting a fundraiser that benefits worthy non-profits.
A for-profit business, could partner with numerous non-profits and promote the fundraiser to their employees through email flyers etc.

How long does the fundraiser last?

As long as your organization wishes. Since there are no invoices, money collecting or merchandise delivery an Artful Vision fundraiser is great as an ongoing shopping portal that continues raising money year round.

How often does my organization get paid?

Monthly deposits are made electronically. An activity statement is forwarded to the fundraising co-ordinator that includes the names of customers and the amount of the donation.

How does this program work?

After your organization is accepted into our program, we identify your organization in a drop down menu at checkout. Each organization promotes the fundraiser to members, friends, family and the community at large encouraging them to support your fundraiser by shopping at Artful Vision. Purchasers designate your organization from a drop down menu at checkout.  Once a month we transfer funds electronically or by check.

Our program enables organizations to keep the actual costs of the fundraiser to nearly zero. It is important to have a team of committed volunteers who keep promoting the fundraiser.

When does the fundraiser end?

It is up to the organization on how long the fundraiser should last. Artful Vision works best as an ongoing fundraising program. As there are no contracts to sign you may cancel the fundraiser at any time. In all fairness to your members we suggest that members be informed 30 days in advance to make additional purchases that will benefit your fundraising goals.
