I am a full-time Mom with a seven-and-a-half-year old daughter, over 50 and nowhere near "over the hill".
After a successful career in the field of graphic design, and project management, I found myself being nudged out of corporate America. So, I took that monster-of-a-life-changing event as a sign that it was time to ease on down a different road, re-igniting my life-long passion for writing and illustration.
I teamed up with my young daughter, Maddie, to create a children's picture book, "Mommy am I beautiful?" Based on a short verse that I wrote when Maddie was a baby; the idea was to give little girls an affirmation to build, and strengthen their self-esteem.
When Maddie, a toddler, posed the question, "Mommy, am I beautiful?", I knew the time had come for this positive verse to be read to, and by, as many little girls as possible.
The Batchelor girls reside in Metro Detroit.
